Blockchain entered agritech with a seductive promise: permanent records, transparent supply chains, and trust without intermediaries.

Immutable Does Not Mean True

But an immutable ledger is only as credible as the event it records. If a supervisor enters that spraying happened on Tuesday, the chain can preserve that statement. It cannot prove the spray happened, who did it, or whether the worker was standing in the right plot.
